Introducing Ponti Lambros from Art Rebel in Sherman Oaks, CA
Ponti Lambros spent 10 years in London as an investment banker focused on the entertainment and media sector. Inspired by all of his creative clients he took a leap of faith and shifted his focus on his love of music and the arts. In London he helped create the worldʼs largest HipHop Photographic exhibition, and assisted in producing a coffee table book and documentary called “Hip Hop Immortals.”
After relocating back to his hometown of LA, Ponti focused on producing his own artwork and took part in solo and joint gallery exhibitions that were highly successful. This resulted in a vast amount of A list, institutional, and private collectors to support and collect his work. A large collection of Pontiʼs work can be seen on the Lee Daniels hit series, “Empire.”
In 2008, Ponti founded Art Rebel, an art studio with the primary focus of allowing people of all ages to reconnect with their creative self. Art Rebel has provided over 10,000 students art programming opportunities, events,and supplies throughout the greater LA area. Ponti has been recognized by the city of LA for his creative services he has provided the community.
Continuing that commitment, Lambros also sits on the Board of Directors for the Sherman Oaks Chamber Foundation. A non-profit foundation providing local artists the opportunity to display their artwork on utility boxes in the Sherman Oaks area.
Once the pandemic hit and Art Rebel had to shut down, Ponti challenged himself as an artist and focused his attention on creating an iconic symbol for his beloved city of LA, “The Healing Heart”. Now all of his time is focused as co- founder of WE HEAL PROJECT[S] to raise a global awareness of the healing qualities that the arts and creativity can play to improve mental health during todayʼs challenging times.
